Electronic Arts, has reportedly sold the rights of its popular life simulation game, The Sims, to 20th Century Fox, which will soon turn it into a movie.
The Sims, which has a universal appeal, is one of EA's biggest franchises with sequels and expansions such as 'The Sims: House Party' and 'The Sims: Vacation.' EA has sold nearly 85 million copies since it launched seven years ago.
Created by Will Wright, the game is popular for its non linear story line and the gameplay where players in charge of simulated people, helping them make friends, find satisfying jobs and buy household items to stay happy.
20th Century Fox, owned by NewsCorp, has not answered queries regarding the deal, but Hollywood industry paper, Variety reveals that Steve Asbell is overseeing the project for Fox with SIMS Studio head Rod Humble managing the creative property for Electronic Arts. According to Variety, Brian Lynch will script the film but story is under wraps with talent yet to be named.

1. Simlish (subtitled maybe?)
2. An actual story (not that watered-down, quasi open "Life Story")
3. Beowulf Style filming.

good idea because it would be totally boring because who would want to watch a movie about sims when they can play on it as a game? and what would be on it? sims walking around and kissing? NO! people can do those things on the game. the game is totally better than a film!!!
