Duke Nukem Forever Update (not really)
By: Avinash Bali   |   Sep 04, 2006

Just when you thought the game may release in 2050, we get news of a massive job exodus at 3D Realms that may end up crippling the game’s development cycle. Last week, a lot of the staff working on Duke Nukem Forever left the company, with certain key members making their way to Gearbox Software, developers of the Brothers in Arms series.

However, 3D Realms boss George Broussard doesn’t feel this is a major blow to the company and claims development of this game is on track;

“Physics and animation systems are virtually finished and shippable, it’s simply maintenance and polish from here on out. We haven’t needed to make substantial changes to those systems in months. The changes we have made, were made without great effort.”

“Things are never as bleak as they appear,” he continued, “as is often the case when you simply have one side of the story.”

You just have to appreciate the guy’s enthusiasm eh?
