When I heard of DJFFNY: The Takeover, I was elated, but my happiness soon turned to sorrow when I heard it was only for the PlayStation Portable (PSP). Let's take a sneak-peek, shall we?
For starters, the game is a sort of a prequel to Def Jam: Vendetta, and will explain how D-Mob rose to power in the city. In addition to a story mode where you'll be able to roam around, fight and recruit fighters, players will have access to nearly 50 new dirty moves like “kidney punches, eye pokes and knees to the chest that can literally drop a character to their knees”. But don't think your opponent's just going to stand there, he'll be able to counter these dirty moves as well. The game will include the same roster of hip-hop stars as its PS2 counterpart and is expected by June 20, 2006.
I hope and pray they port it to the PS2.
