EA announced today that it’s DICE (Digital Illusions Creative Entertainment) Studio, the very same studio behind the Battlefield games as well as the upcoming Battlefield: Bad Company have been working on a brand new first person shooter called Mirrors Edge that will apparently change the way FPS games are played.
Senior producer, Owen O'Brien, commented: "We want to change the way that players are able to move in first person. No more restrictions, no more being blocked by simple barriers such as walls and fences. We want to enable the player to move like a real person, with the ability to run, jump, vault and slide in a way that has never been seen before in a first person game."
Sounds pretty cool but we have absolutely no media for you at this time; check back in a while as more may be revealed in the next three days at E3 2007. Mirror's Edge is currently being developed for next generation consoles and the PC.
