Gaming Indians.com Launch GPFS in India
By: Avinash Bali   |   Jan 01, 2008
As you’ve probably seen by now being a gamer in India does have certain disadvantages, perhaps the biggest being the fact that software AKA games do not reach you on time. If that’s not bad enough, certain gamers who find themselves living in the back of beyond, well have to be content with games not reaching them at all.

Coming to the aid of such unfortunate souls is none other than India’s largest gaming community, Gaming Indians.com who’ve actually figured out a way to fight the system with something called The GamingIndians Game Purchase Facilitation Service (or GPFS for short).

This service will basically allow gamers living in remote parts of India access to much awaited Xbox 360 and PS3 titles their local retailers do not stock. To fully understand this scheme get your ass over to their forums ASAP but before you get all excited and stuff there are certain ground rules you need to be aware of such as:
  • Only games officially released in India will qualify for dispatch under this service
  • Members will be required to wait for at least two weeks after the official release of the game before placing a request on this thread.
  • Pre-payment via bank transfer / cash drop is mandatory. No Cash on Delivery service will be offered.
  • This service is absolutely NOT available to members from Mumbai, Delhi and Chennai.
  • The games will be shipped in a sealed, unopened and therefore un-inspected condition. Wherever possible, bills will be made in the names of the members who have paid for the games. All product warranties and complaints are the sole responsibility of the individual members.
For those who have no clue as to what Gaming Indians.com is all about, allow me to educate. GI.com as its also known as is a local forum where gamers from all over India can come in and bitch about, discuss or even exchange games for that matter. If you're a gamer living in India who's interested in interacting with like minded people, I suggest you check these guys out ASAP.
