God of War Contest Winner Announced!

After running for a little more than two weeks, our God of War: Chains of Olympus contest came to an end yesterday (sorry for the delay), and today I have with me the name of the lucky SoB who’ll walk away with a PSP Slim n’ Lite, a copy of GoW: Chains of Olympus, a Kratos action figure, as well copies of God of War 1 and 2 for the PlayStation 2.


Now before I announce the name of the winner there is one important thing I’d like to clear: any participant who spams us will immediately be disqualified, irrespective of whether the answer is right or wrong. A case in point is a certain Chetan Gupta from Navi Mumbai who decided to spam us with over four hundred (yes, four hundred) WRONG replies.

Now that that’s out of the way, I’d like you all to give it up for Chennai’s Rahul Mitchell who more than his melodramatic answer bowled us over with his undying love for Kratos with this awesome drawing. Here’s hoping you enjoy your Preciousssssses.


PS: His answer is in the drawing itself.

Just take a chill pill guys!! Why are you so angry for not winning!!

Let me recommend you something.
Buy a PSP get it packed well.Ask your one of your friends to gift you.

Guys come on if you are a diehard fan of God of War then its better to get a PSP or PS3 for you.That's not fair that you show your attitude to others on this forum.

I myself didn't gave my entries for this contest but I regularly check tech2.com [everyday]

So guys come on have a glass of water and wait for the other contests!

Yes guys, we should stop talking about the contest being unfair... the winner really displayed his creativity with his entry and that should be the criteria for winning and not a lucky draw.
We should be wondering why all of us just sent in plain text and didn't come up with something really creative...
We have no one but ourselves to blame for not winning.
Lets wait for the next contest and send in better entries...

I really don't like wasting my time with whiny little losers like yourself but since you insist, here goes:

1] The answer was sent in both text as well as image format but since I uploaded the image there's no sense repeating the answer in the article itself.

2] The sign in the drawing belongs to Rahul itself. And if I ever find out it doesn't, well, he's going down.

3] I really don't give a flying fk what you believe in. Take your conspiracy theories and shove it.

If you can't handle the fact that you dodn't win this contest, DO NO, I repeat DO NOT take part in our contests; no one has forced you to.

proof that this is clear case of cheating,

look at these details : -

1) first of all its not a text, its a image format which should be disqualified

2) this image has been sourced from some one else, look at the bottom right corner which has a name which does'nt match the winner's name

3) its very easy to judge wether this drawing belongs to the winner or not, but this can be checked bt tech 2 only and not by us because, when the winner had inserted the image original source would be clearly visible by tech 2 by simply right clicking the image and look into the properties where actual details can be found, however we contestents could not check the original image properties because this image has been putup by tech2 due to which the original credetionals have been replaced

Hey Govind,

Sorry about not getting back to ya earlier but we seem to have hit a minor technical snag as a result of which we couldn't hand out a runner-up prize. I apologize for that and can assure you it will not happen in teh future. Stay tuned for our next contest.... soon!

well this is dissapointing a drawing (no matter how good it is)
is not the basis for winning a contest.I.
add the damn ***** thing in the question.This is the worst contest result in Tech2's history.

The winner was chosen not because he sent us a drawing but because we liked his answer the most from all the entries we received.

Also this contest was not about proving who's a "hardcore" fan and who's not.

This is cheating.... judges should be judging on creativity of the answer and not with creativity of drawing :(......just because this person has sent a drawing doesnt mean he's the only hardcore fan around...i am really disappointed by Tech2
