Half-Life 2: Episode 2 delayed
By: Avinash Bali   |   Aug 26,2006
Last month Valve made a lot of people happy by opening up a can of Half Life on them at an EA conference with the announcement of Team Fortress and the availability of Hl2 on both the 360 and the PS3.

And now in one swift announcement, all that's been taken away. Here's what Valve director of marketing Doug Lombardi, had to say, "It's just sort of classic Valve being overly aggressive on our dates, but we're aiming for Q1 [2007] right now, and we're really far along in the play test stage."

He further goes on to state that both Xbox 360 and PS3 versions are being developed in-house (Hallelujah!) and the reason Episode 2 was delayed was because they had so much on their plate now. It seems that the PS3 version of Episode 2 is being co-developed at an unnamed internal EA studio (now this is in no way related to the article, but it's HL news nevertheless).

I so hope this is their first and last delay.
