If you’re as excited as we are about EA’s upcoming free-to-play Team Fortress 2-ish shooter – Battlefield Heroes – here’s some stuff we’ve scraped off their blog that might interest you.
The new revelation on the blog states that the game’s engine will be based on the Battlefield 2142 engine (which means that it’ll be quite scalable) and the gameplay will introduce more role-playing elements to the mix.
In addition to this, the basic structure will be somewhat similar to the core of the Battlefield series, which means you’ll have three main objectives. But this time around the gameplay will be made "faster, cheaper and easier" – or, in other words more accessible, making it somewhat like TF2, I presume.
The blog also mentions that they "want to return to the crazy unrealistic feel of Battlefield 1942 and Codename Eagle", which is really good news!
