Featuring both single- and multi-player modes, Scarface: Money. Power. Respect will challenge players to make critical strategic decisions to rise from humble beginnings to directing an army of henchmen and hired gunmen through detailed scenarios of conquest and domination. In the story-based single-player mode, gamers will complete a series of missions based on scenes from the original movie to conquer "turfs" in Miami. The game will challenge gamers to handle larger territory, additional adversaries and new profit-making opportunities through increased drug trafficking. The wireless multi-player mode pits up-to-four gamers playing as criminal cartels in a race to make money and conquer turf. Through turn-based strategy showdowns and real-time combat, each player will manage the production and distribution of drugs while building up enough cartel strength to overpower adversaries, take their turf and eventually, rule the Miami drug scene. The handheld version is being developed by FarSight Studios and will be available by October 2006.

By now I'm sure most of you are well aware of developer Radical Entertainment's tribute to Tony Montana. Announced a long long time ago, Scarface: The World is Yours, would allow players to step into the boots of one of the most nefarious characters to ever step out of Cuba. Initially, Scarface was to make it's debut on the Xbox 360, PC, Xbox and the PS2, but Vivendi Universal (publishers) has scrapped the next-gen version. Instead players will have to be content with a handheld version, but unlike a lot of ports, Scarface for the PSP will ship with a new name and a mix of turn based strategy and real time combat.
