Nvidia has finally announced the launch date of the G80 graphic processor. Available in two variants they will be named GeForce 8800 GTX and 8800 GTS.
With Core 2 Duo processors rampaging the market, Intel will also launch its new nForce5 chipsets for Intel with a new north bridge, something long overdue. They are—650i SLI (to replace the 570 Intel edition) and the 680i SLI (to replace the 590 Intel Edition).
The last two launches of the GeForce 6800 and 7800 series had been in the form of 'GeForce LAN parties' attended by gamers and a section of the media. This time it's no different. The GeForce LAN 3 is set for the 7th and the 8th of November 2006 in San Francisco.
