Nvidia Not Yet—Intel

When AMD acquired ATI, the industry was rife with rumors saying Intel would look to acquire Nvidia. But some analysts begged to differ. Joe Osha, an analyst for Merril Lynch said, "We don't think there's a solid rationale for a deal and we don't think it's going to happen." According to sources, there were other companies showing interest in acquiring NVIDIA but there were no confirmed reports yet.

Upon asking the chairman of Intel, Craig Barret, his views he replied "We treat investments and things of that sort like fine wine and we never discuss them before their time, so we don't comment on rumors of that sort." Now, the main question is, has anyone asked Nvidia what they want?
