RV560-based Radeon X1650XT Soon

ATI has announced an addition to its X1650 range. Details aren’t available yet but what we do know is that it’s based on the RV560 core. The RV560 is a UMC chip - an 80 nanometer semiconductor with 12 pipelines. It will still have a 128 bit memory interface but will be faster than the X1600XT and the new X1650PRO.

The RV560 card is named according to ATI’s traditional nomenclature and will be branded as the X1650XT, with the XT suffix signifying the highest variant in the X1650 category. The launch is scheduled for September together with the RV570-based Radeon X1950. These cards will be in direct competition to Nvidia’s 7600GS/GT range.

Ah heard of the x1950pro agp?, look on powercolor's website, its much faster then your x850xtpe, i'm interested in this because i wan't to upgrade to conroe, but because my current system is agp i can't transfer my video card, so i think this x1650xt should offer about the same performance of my 6800gs agp, most likely more(they say this is faster then the x1600xt wich offered similar peformance to the 6800gs, usualy about 5% off the pace...).

then i will wait for the 2nd gen of dx10 cards before i spend a big amount on a video card.

Why cant Ati make one more card thats better then the X850XT PE for AGP,with 256bit 512Meg DDR3 16-24 Pipes 600mhz core!!!!one more hurahh.. I dont think this x1650xt will be as good as my x850xt pe.
