I really appreciate Sony’s enthusiasm here, but how 'bout pumping in time, effort and money into something that would be a lot more productive for the community, like maybe better games? Sony seems to be on a different trip as they feel releasing accessories (aimed at the teeny bopper crowd) for the PSP may improve sales, as a result of which they'll be launching the PSPJ-15003 for their handheld system, this November.
The PSPJ-15003 is a 1.3 megapixel camera that features a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels… yeah, you heard right, 640 x 480 (that's as crappy as the one on my Razr V3) and is priced at $44 (approximately Rs 2000).
But the main question here is; does anyone still buy the PSP nowadays?
