Windows Defender Gets Out of Beta

Windows Defender, previously known as Microsoft Anti-Spyware, has gotten out of Beta and finally turned gold. You can expect a final release sometime soon, or you can head over to the downloads to grab the latest version.

 


The new version, 1.1.1592.0, includes automatic cleaning, a more streamlined GUI, an improved, faster scanning engine, and Windows XP x64 support.
