Sky has just introduced free broadband service, promising reduced bills for its pay-TV customers. The free broadband service will give Sky customers, download speeds of up to 2Mbps and 2GB per month along with a free wireless router and a year's free McAfee Security worth £49.98 pounds. Moreover, the package includes Sky Talk, which allows unlimited UK landline calls for £5 per month.
Sky will also introduce three products along with the launch of the service: Sky Broadband Base, Mid and Max ranging from 5 to 10 pounds with capacity for unlimited downloads. All three products are available to any Sky digital customer covered by Sky's broadband network.
Sky network follows the lead of companies like Carphone Warehouse, PlusNet and others in the free broadband providers and is set to invest around 400 million pounds over the next three years to develop its broadband business.
