Microsoft has always had the knack of keeping things rigid for its customers and it will prevail with Windows Vista too. Apparently, Microsoft thinks that the start up music, created by the famous guitarist Robert Fripp is so good that he’s made it compulsory not letting the users alter it.

Though this might change in the time to come all the blogs and the feedback from Beta Testers. You might ask, why would anyone want to change it anyway. Well, with the world going towards personal customization, letting you change the start up music by a small registry hack shouldn’t be a big deal.

Firstly, to claim its unchangeable is plain naive in this period of the millennium.

secondly, no matter how awesome the music might sound to billy, not everyone belongs to his personality type. Else, they would be launching their own operating systems!

thirdly, in the age of customization and compatibility - sticking with old windows management techniques shows microsoft still hasn't radically grown anywhere, so besides a few eye-catching features of vista and ever-demanding intel machines, we needn't get our hopes high for this windows version either!
