By: Jayesh Mansukhani   |   Nov 28,2007
Dell seeking to extend the resurgent popularity of its revamped XPS line has introduced a 15.4-inch version of its XPS M1330 laptop. The new laptop which weighs in less than six pounds and featuring a 1-inch profile includes a high definition widescreen 15.4-inch display, slot-load optical drive, DirectX 10 capable graphics, touch sensitive media buttons, and HDMI support. Customers can also personalize their systems with a choice of three colors: standard Tuxedo Black, and optional Crimson Red and Alpine White.

The laptop also comes with an optional Blu-ray drive, noise cancellation earbuds and a travel remote that stores away in the ExpressCard card slot. The laptop also features standard Wi-Fi wireless networking, and optional Bluetooth wireless and mobile broadband with a choice of wireless carriers.

"The enthusiastic reception of the XPS M1330 demonstrates that Dell’s focus on design and performance resonates with customers seeking a premium notebook experience," said Alex Gruzen, Dell’s senior vice president, consumer product group. "We’re building on that success by broadening the product line, and the XPS M1530 will bring the XPS experience to the most popular 15.4-inch widescreen market segment."

The price for this laptop starts at USD$ 999 and is available immediately.

This laptop was produced just for nothing, no speacial reason as Dell needs to produce laptops new models quarterly as per their policy and they didnt knew wat to do with xPs version so they just increase the size from 13 to 15 inch.. rest everythin is same and best part is its cheaper than xPs 1330.. :) in india this laptop is cheaper by 4k or 5k than the xPs 1330 laptop...(fyi i am a Dell Employee)
