We don't know if it's a sheer co-incidence or a pre-planned move... every time Microsoft releases its normal security rollout on its designated "Patch Tuesday" Apple seems to release a whole bunch of fixes too. This odd event occurred this past week too when Apple released nine patches for Mac OS X on Thursday.
Out of the various patches that have been released, at least 5 of them have been made to reflect the changes that Daylight Savings Time brings. Another one of the updates is to Final Cut Pro version 5.1.3 and includes important bug fixes, for the famous editing program. The last three patches address security concerns that were found in the "Month of Apple Bugs" campaign launched in January. Out of these three, two of them address and fix phishing related faults in iChat and Safari.
