Nokia 1200 and Nokia 1208
These 2 phones are basically designed for first time users. A couple of the main features available in these models are the new call-time tracking application that allows providers to set a limit for each call. Once that particular limit is reached the call will end. There's also the multi-phonebook sharing that allows users to maintain a total of 5 separate phone books unique to 5 separate users if need be. The phones are also equipped with one-touch flashlights, localized languages, a seamless keypad that helps protect the phone from dust and a teach mode that works like a set up wizard of sorts, to help the user quickly become accustomed to the features and usage of the device.
The Nokia 1200 phone has a monochrome screen, while the Nokia 1208 has a color VGA screen. Both these models are targeted at the rural community.
The Nokia 1200 will be available in the second quarter of 2007 with an estimated retail price of approximately Rs. 1960 (35 EUR) and the Nokia 1208 will be available in the third quarter of 2007 and should cost approximately Rs. 2240 (40 EUR).
