The latest release of Adobe's Flash Lite, the port of Flash for mobile phones, is going to include support for Flash Video! Applause!
Flash Video has changed the face of streaming video on the web, with sites such as YouTube and several others having based entire business models on simply showing video online. Flash has been available in mobile phones also, but till now, there was no way to get sites incorporating Flash Video to work on the phones. The new release will support the common .FLV file format.
Flash Lite 3 with video support is expected to release before the middle of 2007 for popular smartphone operating systems such as Series 60 and Windows Mobile, but it will also be built on BREW systems and will be provided to OEMs for embedding at manufacturer level.
