Netgear Announces the SPH200W
By: Laiq Qureshi   |   Aug 27, 2007

Netgear announced the SPH200W, a wifi Skype phone that sports 802.11b/g compatibility. This phone will give its users ability to make calls at wifi hotspots or open signal, using Skype. However, it does not contain a web browser, therefore it cannot access hotspots that require web-based login or authentication.

Furthermore, the SPH200W also has WEp/WPA/WPA2 support and has a built-in speakerphone. You will have to wait a bit for the price of the phone though.

hopefully it has better battery life than the old one. They need to crack the browser support to make this really useful though
