Nokia has unveiled its new handset, inspired by the forces of nature in terms of design, sounds and texture. The Nokia 8800 Sirocco Edition is presented with signature features like the handset shape which “perfectly matches the human hand” and a soundtrack composed by Brian Eno, who is considered the “father of ambient music.”
The Nokia 8800 Sirocco Edition, which is named after the powerful desert-born wind from Sahara has stainless steel polished surfaces and a scratch-resistant glass display window. The edition consists of two variants - light and dark, the light inspired by the hot, dry air mass and the dark by the cooler, humid one. The edition is packed with features like a sapphire coated 2, 62,000 color display, a slide mechanism to reveal a 2 mega-pixel camera, extended battery life, an ergonomic keypad and even a jewel-like navigation key. In addition, The Nokia 8800 Sirocco Edition features a complementary stainless steel Bluetooth headset.
The Nokia 8800 Sirocco Edition is now available in select markets, with an estimated retail price of EUR 1000, before taxes or subsidies.
