Samsung has just launched their new SGH-E890 'Touch UI' handset in Singapore. The tri-band GSM handset also does GPRS and EDGE networks. The E890 has a 2.3-inch, 262k color QVGA (240x320), touch-screen display — there's no keypad. The front has two soft keys, call, end and clear keys, and a 5-way navigation pad.
The phone comes with a 1.3 megapixel digital camera with Flash, an MP3/AAC/WMA music player, TV output, Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR and PictBridge, but only a disappointing USB 1.1. The phone has 54 MB of phone memory with a microSD/TransFlash memory card slot. The phone offers almost 4 hours of talk time or 14 days of stand-by (350 hours).
The E890 is priced at S$568 or Rs. 16,500 approximately. If only it had at least 2 megapixels in the snapper and A2DP support, I’d have asked my cousin to get it for me.
