AMD has just introduced the new series of Imageon media processors for use in mobile multimedia devices such as mobile phones.
The new Imageon 2298, 2294 and 2192 series processors offer fast, high-resolution image processing supporting upto 12 megapixel resolution camera functions, DVD-quality video playback and recording, image stabilization and high-definition audio playback. It also offers benefits for mobile TV viewing and video telephony with faster transcoding and error resiliency.
Look for new Imageon-powered devices including ones from Samsung, Motorola, LG and HTC by early next year.
