Aol Launches Corporate IM
By: Jayesh Mansukhani   |   Jul 21,2006
In the latest salvo in the corporate IM space, Time Warner's internet division AOL has launched the business version of their AOL Messenger. This version of the instant messaging client is called AIM Pro and it comes fully equipped with free conferencing tools from WebEx Communications Inc.

AOL says that the conversations done through this tool would be more secure as they would be heavily encrypted. It also features supports for scanning of files for viruses and worms when the messenger is used for file transfers. AIM Pro users have the ability to communicate with regular AIM users but conversations will not be encrypted in these cases.
