Siemens Gets WiMAX Forum Certification

The WiMAX Forum has certified Siemens products as being WIMAX ready for having passed the interoperability tests in their laboratory tests. With this, Siemens becomes the first telecommunications supplier whose products have been certified.

This certification is vital to telecommunications companies and ISP's as it ensures the interoperability of systems from different vendors. It allows hybrid networks to be developed and products of different companies to be mixed and matched in network operations.
