Unless you have 100 accuracy and an 80+ WPM speed, you needn't read this. If you make a lot of errors while typing fast, this new Elecom keyboard might be the keyboard upgrade for you. Typing errors are more often made by fingers accidentally clicking the wrong, neighboring keys, and that is exactly what the 'gear drive system' keyboard prevents.
Instead of just one small 'button' below the key, this new keyboard has four gears on all four sides of each key, making it almost impossible to accidently depress the corner of a key and have it click. Only when you click the key right in the center, which can be termed as intentional, does the key get depressed because all the four gears move at the same time.

And oh, don't worry about the small spacebar - this Japanese edition of the keyboard has extra keys on the lower row that probably won't be there when the keyboard ships out to the world. Let's hope it doesn't cost more than $43 (Rs. 2000) when it comes here.
