Clever-Stuff Limited, digital consumer product specialist has entered into a partnership with the Oxford University Press to launch the first U3 enabled flash memory drives from their disgo range that come pre-loaded with a digital version of the Concise Oxford English Dictionary.
The U3 enabled disgo lite and disgo classic feature second wave applications including Migo and SignupShield. U3 Smart Technology allows applications to be installed directly to the onboard Launchpad, so that personal email, desktop and preference settings can be accessed anywhere on any computer. The Migo software application enables any computer that is used to look and act the same as the primary computer. Outlook can be transmitted, along with documents and files, windows settings, favorites and wallpaper, from computer to computer. Once the disgo is removed no trace of the work completed on the guest PC will be left behind. Migo will also synchronize changes when the flash drive is re-introduced to the primary home or work computer.
Disgo lite and Ddisgo classic also feature SignupShield Passwords, which is an intelligent manager that tracks passwords and can fill in web-based, network login and FTP login forms automatically when needed. Altogether these features make it easy and secure to hot desk using only a USB key.
The fully functional preloaded copy of the dictionary offered with the drive is in the form of a 30-day free trial which can be converted to a permanent licensed copy via www.mydisgo.com at a discounted price £14.99 (incl. VAT).
"Clever-Stuff is delighted to be working with the Oxford University Press to help create a new market for smart drives containing valuable digital reference products. We both share the same long term vision for the application of this technology and expect this emerging market to be worth more than ?40 million globally by 2010." said Lorraine Hughes, Head of Business Development at Clever-Stuff.
Katharina Baier, Electronic Licensing Assistant, Oxford University Press said 'We continue to search for new ways of extending the market for our portfolio of award winning reference publications, including the UK's best-selling dictionary. The new partnership with Clever-Stuff will enable us to address the changing needs of our existing customers and attract new ones to our brand'.
