In what can be described as a good attempt at innovation in an oversaturated market, Transcend has introduced a new biometric-capable USB flash drive called JetFlash T220. These new drives are available in 2, 4, and 8 GB capacities and come with a unique sensor strip which makes it possible for users to access protected data by simply scanning their fingerprint. The drive’s fingerprint scanning technology also allows users to automatically log onto any website for which they have a registered account.
All the devices are USB 2.0 compliant for high speed data transfer and provide AES 256-bit encryption for secure file storage. The new drives come in a variety of colors ranging to Ruby Red for the 8 GB, Royal Blue for 4 GB and Sunburst Orange for the 2 GB.
