Digital distribution via Valve's online service Steam seems to have gathered a lot of steam (pardon the poor pun) and Activision has now joined the ranks of other publishers who are distributing their older titles via this service.
The three games that'll be available via Steam will be World War II shooter, Call of Duty and its expansion, United Offensive and the Western free roaming action fest GUN. No dates have been disclosed as of now, but expect these titles sometime in the near future.
Here's what Dave Anderson, senior director of business development for Activision had to say, "As broadband penetration continues to grow worldwide, offering our titles digitally to the millions of gamers connected through Steam makes sense to us."
