Duke Nukem Forever

All right people, the wait is finally over; Duke Nukem Forever is nearly upon us. The kind blokes over at Ars Technica have been kind enough to share their thoughts on one of the most infamous FPS's known to mankind. Keep in mind, this isn't the finished product, it's merely a demo that's unfortunately not available to the masses. Even at such an early stage the game looks extremely good and can definitely compete with games like F.E.A.R. or even The Elder Scrolls Oblivion in the graphics department. It seems the seven years and gazillions of dollars pumped into this game was definitely time and money well spent. Expect the game to be released for the PC next month, with a PS3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Revolution, PS2, Xbox, Nintendo DS and PSP port to follow soon. dnf_t.jpg

Remember how long the wait was for HL2? The longer we wait the more we think its going to not be released.

People, Duke Nukem Forever will most probably never be done, because as the title says: it's "FOREVER!!"
It's probably just a Gag, otherwise they'd have finished the Game long time ago, and wouldn't have waited 10 Years to release it, no Folks......this Game is FOREVER!!!!!

im afraid it will never come out at this rate....i used to play duke nukem 3d religiously. waiting for this game to come out has made me so angry, i just quit waiting on it lol.

Go to 3DRealms.

If it was coming out December 31, 2008 we'd probably know.

On their site is so there is absolutely NO release date as of now. It comes out when it does. Simple as that.

i just read on a british website that the release for Duke Nukem Forever is estimated to be at the end of December 31 2008!!!! I agree with S-Guy if we have waited this long, it better be worth it. Oh and the approximate price was $98 US

dude i have been waiting for a new duke nukem forever. Finally one has been being made and its taking forever. Duke Nukem is one of my all-time favorite games of all. Last time i played DN was Duke Nukem 3D. And that was a long time ago. Please someone give me some insight of what to expect for this game when it does finally come out please so i have something more to look forward to.

Sorry Guys, but it's obvious that these 3D Models are taken directly from the instant 3D Modelmaker "Poser" (and as far as I can see a very old version of it) - which is in terms of quality and artistic level really poor. The Shading of those 3D Creatures are just - well... bad. This is no Duke 4ever Screenshot. No PerPixel Shading; now Normalmapping, No HDRI Lighting no dynamic shadows a.s.o.

No, it's even not a screenshot of the "early stage of the game" - it's just a very bad poser-fake duke 4ever image.

Erm...its june 2007 now. 1 year, 2 months. This game has been in the making for a decade. This game had BETTER be good for all the wait.

OMG!!!! finally a new game from duke!!!! whoa I was getting really sick of playing duke nukem 3-d for the past 5 years, far out, it's about freaking time, better be good too!

why even bother being sarcastic? the concept of intelligent thought is wasted on these guys.. when they can't find themselves out of a paper bag when the way out is like a fully lit street with a map and large neon signs posting in the direction saying "This is the way out"

First of all, it's NINE years in the making (announced in 1997). Secondly... one month? Would that be May? It's July now and I doubt this game will ever see the light of day. Thirdly this screenshot is nothing near Oblivion or F.E.A.R. please do not make this any more embarassing than it already is.
