Oblivion patch in a
By: Avinash Bali   |   Jun 10,2006

The much awaited Oblivion 1.1 patch that was supposed to smoothen out many aspects of the game has proved catastrophic for many. The patch does reduce a lot of stuttering, but has boosted load times like crazy on the Xbox 360 as well as the PC.

As far as Xbox 360 users go, clearing the Xbox 360's hard drive cache should fix the loading problem and if that doesn't do the trick, Bethesda suggests that players start with new characters, even if they've pumped 100+ hours into the game.

Apparently a lot of gamers are very peeved with this suggestion and state that they would boycott Bethesda products if their issues are not sorted out by another patch soon.
