The Burning Crusade (BC), expansion to the most dominant MMORPG around, World of Warcraft, has moved into its Beta stage. Blizzard has sent out E-mail invitations to those who registered for it at BlizzCon (their annual festival similar to Quake con) and those fortunate enough to qualify for it through the various contests held by the WoW team. There are only two beta servers currently running, so I guess the millions of WoW fans that didn't get their beta invites will just have to wait to get their greasy hands on BC when it releases later this year.
The Burning Crusade has added quite a few nice changes to the original and here's a look at some of them:
- An increase in the level cap to 70
- New spells and talents for each class
- Two new playable races: Blood Elves & Draenei
- The entire new continent of Outland
- Many new zones and high-level dungeons
- Hundreds of new monsters, quests, and items
- A new profession: Jewelcrafting
- Flying mounts in Outland
