As you all know by now, Ubisoft is busy toiling away on Far Cry 2, the sequel to 2004’s most excellent tropical shooter, Far Cry. This time around the action’s shifted to Africa and the game will be made using Ubisoft’s brand new proprietary engine called Dunia (the Persian as well as the Hindi word for world) that’ll enable them to incorporate all sorts of fancy stuff like Parallax Mapping, Soft Shadows, HDR lighting etc.
PC Games Hardware Extreme recently caught up with Ubisoft’s technical director, Dominic Guay and as expected he spilled quite a few beans on all things technical. When asked about the game’s system requirements, he didn’t have a concrete answer but he did state that you would require a "multi core CPU and a high end DX10 GPU" to play the game on "Ultra High" settings.
