Sony Introduces 50 GB Blu-Ray Media

Sony has released a Blue Disc Ray which can store upto 50 GB. The company says the new 50 GB dual-layer Blu-ray media has its patented AccuCORE technology, which includes scratch protection and helps the media maintain integrity in changes to temperature and humidity. Pricing on the new 50 GB write-once Blu-ray media is set at $48. Sony has also confirmed that it will be shipping 50 GB dual-layer rewritable media later this year.
