Transcend has announced the availability of the upgraded version of its T.sonic 840 MP3
player with 8 GB of memory and a new burgundy red, all-metal casing in India.
The new player has a bright 1.8-inch high resolution full-color TFT-LCD screen and its primary features include - viewing photos, watching videos, and music playback.
Austin Huang, Regional Head - Sales, SAARC and APAC, Transcend, said, "Music is an integral ingredient of the lives of our Indian customers who love to be able to carry their music around so that they can enjoy their favorites songs even while relaxing at home, on the road or at the gym. As such, MP3 Players are the second most popular gadget after mobile phones in the country. Transcend's latest offering, the 8GB T.sonic 840 MP3 Player will definitely find favor with the Indian music lovers!"
Priced at Rs.4,500, the T.sonic 840 supports audio and video formats such as JPG, BMP, MTV, MP3, WMA, DRM10, and WAV. In addition, the T.sonic 840 is equipped with seven equalizer effects, including a customizable USER EQ mode. According to Transcend, on a full charge, the T.sonic 840 would support up to 30 hours of continuous audio playback.
The T.sonic 840 also has other functions that include using it as a digital voice recorder. It also comes with an integrated FM radio with an FM recorder, a world clock, and it supports a 13-language user interface. The player also includes adjustable playback speed and A-B repeat functions. It supports Hi-Speed USB 2.0 for data transfer.
Transcend's T.sonic 840 is now available in three capacities - 2 GB (Glacier White), 4 GB (Onyx Black) and 8 GB (Burgundy). They each come with a 2 year warranty.
