Gamers in India who wanna hop aboard the Next-Generation wagon can now opt for PlayStation 3 too. Sony's fine piece of gaming hardware launched in India yesterday, along with a line-up of 12 games.
Here's what Tim Stokes, Sales and Marketing Director, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe had to say about the Indian launch:
"We're thrilled that we are able to bring PS3 to gaming fans in India after the successful launches in Japan, North America and Europe.
With the incredible technology and value packed into PS3, we have seen a rapid adoption of the system around the world, and we expect also see similar results in the booming Indian market."
The PS3 has seen quite a lot of criticism in the past—some just, while some unjust. Regardless, the system really has a lot to offer and is in fact every bit the complete entertainment system Sony claims it is.
Let's just wait and see how well it sells in India.

Who the hell of middle class families have 40K at hand...??!!
plus the price at what Americans get this piece of marvel is too low compared to what we are getting here...May be a wait for some more months..9 to 10 may be.. would make this thing affordable..25K and around it....would be a great thing! .. I will definitely wait for such price drop.. or else.. what are Grey markets for.. :) !!But am getting the PS3.. thats for sure...
Plus would we be seeing some ADs of this beauty on TV!?
That would definitely attract attention.. if not on the spot buyers....
Well lets hope for the best..Why does Indian Govt puts so much of taxes on these stuffs? :|
