Sony Now Encourages Third-Party PS3 Games!
By: Avinash Bali   |   Oct 22, 2007
How the mighty have fallen. The once-arrogant Sony is now apparently begging third-party developers not to ditch their console in favor of other more lucrative ones.

Here’s the dope from The Mercury News Blog:

One piece of news that came out this week was that Sony pleaded with third-party developers not to abandon its struggling platform. That change in attitude is a marked difference compared to the arrogance of past years. The argument is that the PS 3 will show its strength as developers learn how to make games for it. But developers know they can staff four or five Wii teams with the same number of people it takes to make one PS 3 game. We may have a glut of Wii games soon, but that’s not as bad as not having enough games on the PS3.

Even if this information is to be taken with a pinch of salt, there’s no denying the fact that PS3's line-up this holiday season isn't all that hot.

I don't know what got f***ed up for Sony.... Guys (& gals, if any), PS3 is the most powerful console that is available in market in the present day... Featuring "super-computing" for home usage... But, alas, there's no exclusive for this console yet.... I've got a PS3 80GB but I'm mostly playing the old PS2 games....

Erm. What a load of trash? You quote someones opinion as fact, then lead a story with it? I'd suggest you talk to some publishers, and see just what is happening PS3 wise, rather than just making up some silly story to pay for your blogging..

Fact is, Wii has only a 1.3 software sales rate - which is horrible. Basically third party titles are simply not selling, only the core Nintendo ones. MS has similar issues, but across the board, whereas even on PS3 some of the top sellers are ALREADY third party games - Oblivion, EA NHL, EA's NBA Street and Fight Night have all sold very well, with recent releases of other titles doing well also.

As usual its the typical blinded fanboy that doesnt actually look at what is selling and what isn't. Just read some sales charts.. at least!!

This Holiday Season Line up for Ps3 is pretty HOT i must say (considering holiday season starts from oct last week, Halloween )

Many bigs are MP(CoD4,nfs,ACd,kane and Lynch, GHIII, Rock band, army of two etc etc) and ps3 also has exclusive games like R&C, Haze,Uncharted.

Its surely will burn holes in pockets if you ask me :D

hehe thats a bit too harsh....
sony will hopefully pick up once they have a few good exclusives out..but the fact remains the ps3 will never repeat the success ps2 did, also surprising is still how much faith the ps2 fans still have on the ps3.
gotta say wii is pwning the competition . Me happy with my 360 :D (as long it doesnt break down ie)
