3G iPhone Most Likely to Launch in June
By: Shayne Rana   |   May 22, 2008
We know it's happening but we just don't know when, so we're waiting patiently for the BIG announcement, though reports are saying that the 3G iPhone will be out in the second week of next month.

Presumably the 3G version will make an appearance when Apple has its WWDC Keynote on June 9th this year. So we're assuming the updated handset will soon be ready to hit the shelves. That makes no difference to us of course, as I’m sure most of us will be quite thrilled with just having the first generation model make its way here officially later this year.

Why would Apple launch an outdated model in a country that's the fastest growing mobile market? But then again, why shouldn’t we at least hope if not expect the 3G version to be launched here when it does in a few months.

Let's keep our collective fingers crossed. Stay Tuned.

N96 IS better for 35K for 16 GB asame as iPhone,2.8LCD screen bigger than iPhone, expandable to 24GB, Symbian S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 2 Operating System, 5MP camera with flash and video lights at 30 frames/sec, can play flash video, high-speed USB 2.0 connection, WLAN and HSDPA, built-in 3D stereo, phone supports Nokia Maps application which offers maps with urban details and satellite views and has upgrade options such as City Guides, turn-by-turn pedestrian mode and voice-guided car navigation, This is not iPhone competitor it is iPhone killer...hahahah

Lets face it........Touch Screens are stylish & funky.......but does lack user-friendliness, but iPhone's Multi-touch user-interface is a beauty, iPhone is great Multi-media device, but it does have quite a few negatives on its side. At best it an iPod with Mobile Phone features with super internet browsing experience.

Sure it does need improvement. 3G to begin with...........pricing to end with.

iPhone is a good concept but as a phone it has many practical problems.

First of all, it does not have removable battery. I bought one iPhone frm US unlocked it here but went dead in 2 days time!!

Battery goes off too quickly.

Newer phones in other brands have better 'other' features like better camera, connectivity (BT with PC etc...)

In terms of stability, still iPhone lacks Nokia or SE.

Sending SMS via finger touch may not be that great though Applie tried its best with predictive words etc...

Last but not least, too expensive for its average features other than innovative interface.

Would not mind to but at Rs 10K and 3G model for Rs 15K - 8 GB o 16 GB makes no difference in this country.

Hey, I live in a place where basic mobile connectivity is a blessing.....and this in spite of all the big players around.... 3G's NOT an issue in these parts of India...I just hope Apple launches the iphone soon.....will buy it just for the music playing feature
Aku @ May 23, 2008

PANKAJ @ May 23, 2008
If it doesnt get launched with better camera and video recording and of courseif without GPS, then spending so much on it would be like waste even if with 3G
Gaurav @ May 23, 2008
