Samsung, Intel and Motorola will be demonstrating Mobile WiMAX technology at CES this year. The three are partners of the 4G Wireless Broadband Initiative along with Sprint.

Mobile WiMax technology, which has already been commercialized in South Korea since mid-2006, boasts of stationary data transmission speeds upto 3.5Gbps, while speeds aboard a moving bus are being reported at around 100Mbps.
Samsung is planning to demo 4G applications such as push-to-all using its previously announced SPH-P9000 and SPH-M8100 PDA, both being Mobile WiMAX devices. Both the devices are expected to be released in South Korea before mid-2007, but there are no plans of any US release, even though Samsung provides WiMAX network solutions in America and Asia.
