Taiwanese company, Gigabyte Communications is all set to release another Smartphone targeted at the business person—the GSmart q60. The phone runs on a Windows 6 OS. The q60 is equipped with a QWERTY keypad which has a dotted texture and feel to it. It has a 2.5-inch touch screen with 320x240 pixels supporting 256K colors. The q60 supports both WCDMA and HSDPA, offering speeds up to 1.8Mbps. This device will also come equipped with features like Mobile TV and GPS. This Smartphone also has EDGE, Bluetooth 2.0 and mini USB 2.0 for connectivity.
The smartphone is also equipped with a 2.0 megapixel, auto-focus camera and a secondary VGA camera for video calling. Internal memory of the q60 is 96 MB that can be expanded using microSD cards.
Gigabyte Communications is also working with regional providers who offer 3.5G services who would probably offer the Q60 as part of a subscription package.
The q60 is scheduled to launch in Taiwan in June. The price is yet to be disclosed.
