Hackers have found a way to enable the built-in GPS receiver in the HTC Trinity Windows Mobile smartphone.
It's one thing to make a device without required features (such as the i-mate JAQ business smartphone which has no WiFi), but it's a totally different thing to sell devices with features disabled by default. HTC's Trinity shipped with a GPS receiver, but there was no software support for it, so it was as good as deadweight. Now hackers have managed to enable the GPS receiver and released the hack in the form of a firmware patch for the HTC Trinity, also known as the Orange M700. See the forum post for more details.
Efforts are on to enable GPS on another device, the HTC Hermes, also known as the TyTn, O2 XDA Trion or i-mate JASJAM.
this is a fantastic. if you can list out all features and price and where can i purchase the phone because i am serious looking for a mobile.. if you can give the require info. that would be wonderful..
