HTC Rumored To Roll Out Google Phones
By: Laiq Qureshi   |   Apr 21, 2007
High Tech Computer (HTC), Taiwan-based Smartphone and PDA Phone manufacturer, will be building the much-spoken about Google handsets. It is believed that HTC will start rolling out units by the end of this year, which means the phones hit the market by early 2008.

According to the handset component makers, the shipment is expected to reach as high as one million units.

The Google handset will support Texas Instruments' (TI) 3G platform and EDGE, pointed out the makers. The device will also feature built-in G-mail and Google search. Analysts say Google might consider partnering with Orange for the launch of the handset.

Sources also indicated that Google handsets will adopt dual brand. HTC, however, declined to comment on the report.
