Nokia E71: Possible Successor to the E61?
By: Shayne Rana   |   Jan 04, 2008
The E61 and E61i, two popular business mobiles from Nokia, are also known as 'calculator mobiles' because of their obvious design. It looks as if the two will now have a successor in the form of the Nokia E71. The E71 appears to be a much sleeker and compact design, while retaining the QWERTY keyboard and large display.

If the images provided by IntoMobile are anywhere close to accurate (they're just photoshopped images, according to the site), the E71 is going to be smaller than its predecessor, so users will unfortunately have to compromise on screen size. If the specs are accurate, the E71 will have a 3.2 megapixel camera, integrated GPS, Wi-Fi and HSDPA.

It’s just possible that one might catch a glimpse of this at CES in Las Vegas. We'll be keeping our eyes peeled, you may be sure!

How about removing the keyboard and extending the screen to be twice as bigger with a touch screen keyboard? This way poeple can view more and bigger websites.

Hi, this is Prosenjitz here. I am waiting sooo eagerly for this! As per rumours and leaked news, this will be an all in one phone, but I have doubt about the user-friendlyness of its smaller qwerty keypad! Anyway, let's hope for the best!

Why the world is hopping over Camera Phones...?No body, in any practical sense, really needs a high performance camera with the Mobile phone. It un-necessarily increases the cost of handset with all that complex hardware....And what about security concerns..?
All moblie models should be available with an option ....with or without Camera.....
Nokia, Motto, Sammy...SE....Wake up......

Would love to have to this phone... I like the current E61, would'nt mind waiting for this one.hope the screen size is not reduced....as reported here....

Well if it has a camera then I wouldn't call it a pure business phone. Most business today require the use of non camera phones due to security issues!

How about doing some non-copypaste journalism?

Yeah read this news on mobile review forums, by the way the image which you have shown is just a photoshoped imagination of one of the forum member, the phone might be different than it looks here.
