Nokia Launches N77 TV Phone
By: Shayne Rana   |   Jul 16, 2007
Finally it's here. Nokia's candy bar N77 TV phone has been launched in India today. This DVB-H enabled mobile supports LIVE TV Broadcasts.

"Television viewing has come a long way with close to 500 million viewers in the country today. With the growing popularity of mobile devices and its capability to offer instant access to information and entertainment, the launch of N92 and N77 will bring in the perfect synergy between television content and the mobile platform," said Vineet Taneja, Director Multimedia, Nokia India.

"The ability to watch live television on a mobile device has never been so easy. The wide 2.4" flat screen with up to 16 million colors and high quality stereo sound makes it the ideal personal mobile device for enjoying live TV and music on the move," he further added.

The N77 comes equipped with a dedicated TV key and also has the ability to remember the last channel that was viewed, just like your TV. It's also capable of setting reminders and alerts for particular programs. The N77 can also allow you to view replays (up to 30 seconds). Apart from that its interactive functions include SMS voting to choose the next music video.

It's equipped with 2GB of internal memory and an integrated stereo speakers. Other than the more important fact that you can watch TV on the phone, the N77 runs on a S60 3rd Edition Symbian OS so you have all the other standard features of any phone with the same OS version including an MP3 player, a 2 megapixel camera, email access, EDGE, Bluetooth (with A2DP) and a USB pop-port. It also has a document viewer and a stereo FM radio.

This feature packed phone is priced at an MRP of Rs. 22,529.
