Nokia's N82 Finally Released
By: Shayne Rana   |   Nov 14, 2007
After being teased with the info that the phone exists, but with no news on the release date or pricing, it’s finally here. Nokia has launched the N82. Another high end mobile from the Finnish mobile makers with a 5 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics. But this time, unlike the N95, they equipped the phone with a Xenon flash.

The N82 is also equipped with A-GPS for navigation with preinstalled Nokia maps and all the standard packages come with a free voice guided navigation trial. You can purchase additional features, such as city guides and longer subscription to the navigation. Also available in the standard pack is a 2GB micro SD card.

"The evolution of camera capabilities in mobile devices has been extremely fast over the past years. With the Nokia N82 we have reached such a superior level in image quality, speed and ease of use that not only does it outperform any other camera phone on the market, but it's also a very credible alternative for single purpose digital still cameras," said Satu Ehrnrooth, head of Nokia Nseries Cameras Category, Multimedia, Nokia. "In addition to the high-end camera, the Nokia N82 also enables you to navigate and discover new places, enjoy your music, browse the web, play games, chat online and be part of the global web 2.0 community wherever you go. Thanks to the wireless broadband connectivity, convergence and yet again increased performance, the Nokia N82 is all you need in your pocket!"

Among the other features are Wi-Fi connectivity, 3G capabilities with HSDPA for faster internet connection, Bluetooth with A2DP capabilities and miniUSB v2.0. The N82 also has an integrated Stereo FM radio, TV out, document viewer and a new auto rotate feature so if the phone is turned the display automatically switches to landscape mode. It also supports N-Gage games and has a direct upload feature for your images, so it will simultaneously upload your files while you use the phone for any other purpose.

The Nokia N82 is available now in key markets with an estimated, pre-tax, unsubsidized sales price of approximately Rs. 25,810(450 euros).

Price is high, have to admit that. Sorry for not being too techy, but to me this machine has so little upgrade compared to its predescessor, like the n73. But i prefer this one than the n85, n95 and n96. N85 is really good but too friggin' pricey. Bigger screens etc, consuming more juice power. The features and what its got is more than enough for me. Ive done comparison between n82 and n85, overall n85 is the winner but n82 still does the job almost as good as the n85. Theres no friggin' major differences.

Its Not Looking Good And alos price alos very hich even it has 5.0mp camera.
Key Pad is not stylish, N95 is very good when compare with N82 in outlook
CHandra abu @ Jan 07, 2008
I'll wait for the price to get lower than this.. The phone does have stunning looks..... Hope it doesnt have any soft ware issue as in the case of many other nokia models.....
Deepak Shankar.R @ Jan 05, 2008
doesn't look great for a price that it is being sold for. N95 looks far better with a bigger screen. Xenon flash is great but Im not too sure about the success of this one's in the Indian market scenario.
Needs better colours and the screen should have been bigger. Nothing below 2.8" is acceptable at this phone's price. They could have fixed in a Xenon flash in the N95 8Gb instead and yes how can i forget mentioning about the keypad which couldn't be worse.

Thank You N O K I A.
PRABHDEEP SINGH @ Nov 16, 2007
The present colour is ugly, but there will be more colours on Q1 2008, so you better wait for a white or black version... The keypad is similar to Sony Ericsson w880i and all the w880i reviews has judged the keypad as too small. So lets see how does the N82 keypad will perform... Anyway I think I am going to have this, but only on different colour.
Tapio @ Nov 16, 2007
No touch screen at this price???Not worth it...
Anshu Sinha @ Nov 15, 2007
Equped with xenon flash no need to carry a camera, Several features are may not be useful in India now.
Rajan Nair @ Nov 15, 2007

AJIMATI HEZEKIAH OLATUNDE @ Nov 15, 2007
presence of more features with the absence of BIG DISPLAY!!

Good Multimedia mobile-normal size display !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

mismatch.
sushant @ Nov 15, 2007
Looks good. A similar model like N75 ...
Mohd @ Nov 15, 2007
The keypad layout reminds me of the sony ericsson keypad layout. I'm not sure how tactile and responsive they are when you press them.
Jemster Inc. @ Nov 14, 2007
After paying 26K if the phone lacks touch screen, it useless piece. I would rather suggest to have HTC Touch for 17K

3G capabilities : GOD also might don;t know when India will have 3G facility.
JIGNESH @ Nov 14, 2007
bad keypad.
ir bambang mba @ Nov 14, 2007
as u told all in one but i know this phone is not fully compitable it has same old features not any new one.
whether nokia can introduce some new technology like.......
phone should create files like html,it should have fast web browsing,
as it 3g technology it is nice but it is of no use as services providers not started yet......
it should have fast opening of pages in mobile but it take time to open as in sony ericsson it open the pages withih a sec.
NARESH @ Nov 14, 2007
nokia n82...........whether it is good or bad is difficult to say unless is experienced...becoz advirtise is now a day goes against the quality. real gold or real diamond does not need ad.still it has it`s own market for years............!! what about loss or theft of mobile........!. how to prevent this calamities? is there any insurance for mobile becoz people are ready to pay insurance than to loose new piece of n82.
thanks,

wow!! with all these new features it's still cheaper than the price at which the n95 was released......but on a more personal note i feel that the n95 looks much more better!!!
