Samsung Launches Dual SIM Phone in Europe
By: Shayne Rana   |   Oct 03, 2007

Like the Samsung Duo that we were privileged to see here first with Tata Indicom, Samsung has launched a similar handset for Europe. The name doesn’t seem to have undergone a major change as it’s called the DuoS.

The DuoS is a Tri-Band GSM device. For connectivity it’s equipped with EDGE, and Bluetooth with A2DP compatibility. This slider has a 2.3 inch QVGA display (no touchscreen) and will allow a user to use two separate service providers with two separate SIM cards and again you can switch providers without having to switch the phone off. The good thing is that all incoming calls will also show which SIM card it’s coming though. So you’ll able to effectively keep your personal and business life separate. The DuoS also has 3.2 megapixel auto-focus camera and an integrated FM Radio. It can also use microSD cards for memory expansion and it's possible that it would also have a business card reader.

The DuoS will hit Europe in November and the price is estimated to be around Rs. 27,000 ($700).

Dear Ramnik, Spice Dual sim gsm phone is good for nothing. its damn bad quality. I agree with you. I am using another dual sim mobile FLY B700 DUO and I am very very happy with the performance. its light weight unlike spice and has 2 mp camera which can be used as webcam. very good battery life. 2 gb memory and nice voice qualify media player. it has everything except FM Radio missing in it. and it cost me less them Spice Dual Sim GSM MOBILE. I am sure u will like it.
