Adobe Flash 9 Beta for Linux
By: Gaurav Seth   |   Oct 23, 2006

Adobe has released the beta version of its Flash Player 9 for the Linux operating system. This Linux version is similar to its Windows and Mac counterparts but doesn't have support for full screen mode or SSL encryption. Adobe, however says that the final version will include both the above mentioned features.

The minimum system requirements for the Beta version are 800 MHz Processor, 512 MB RAM and 128 MB graphics card. Adobe says that the program should work on all the mainstream variants of the Linux OS though they have only tested it with Red Hat and Novell SUSE systems. No launch date has been mentioned as yet and should, most probably be launched next year.
