Oracle Hit By New Attack
By: Jayesh Mansukhani   |   Apr 21, 2006
We live in an era of never ending cycle of patches and vulnerabilities. Everytime you breathe a sigh of relief another huge flaw is uncovered and before you can say “eh” there is an exploit out for it and some script kiddie has hacked your system.

The latest to be hit is Oracle. Only a day after Oracle released its quarterly Critical Patch Update bulletin attack code that takes advantage of a flaw in its database software has been released on the Web. The exploit code was published just hours after the release of the bulletin. The exploit code was published to the BugTraq security mailing list. It targets the Oracle Database 10g and appears to give the attacker administrative privileges.
