BSNL Launches Ring back Tones in Chennai

State owned telecom, BSNL, has launched a new value added service, BSNL Tunes, in Chennai. The ring back tone service is provided to all south zone post-paid subscribers, in partnership with OnMobile.

Chennai is the first of the south zone BSNL circles, to get the new value added service, among Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Kerala.

The BSNL tunes, offers mobile subscribers the option to customize their ring back tone for all their callers. The services are priced at Rs. 12 per song selection as a Ring Back Tone, and Rs. 20 per month as subscription fees. The services can be subscribed to via the voice channel or via SMS, for which subscribers are charged as per the BSNL tariff plan.

The services have been launched on the short code 567, and are available in six languages — English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. BSNL tunes, backed by Infosys, will soon be launched for prepaid subscribers, across BSNL's south zone.
